Mouse FFPE · Research use

Mouse tissue

FFPE tissue blocks and custom slides from immunodeficient and immunocompetent mouse strains, for humanized-model, immuno-oncology, and oncology studies. We can also collect and block tissue from your own animals.

Core strains

Tissue for humanized, syngeneic, and knockout studies

FFPE tissue blocks and custom slides from these strains, ready to order.

  • Immunodeficient · humanized models

    NSG-MHC I/II DKO

    Male and Female available

NSG mice lacking mouse MHC class I and II. Used as hosts for PBMC-humanized studies, where the missing mouse MHC reduces graft-versus-host disease and extends the study window.

    Used for

    • Control tissue for humanized-mouse immuno-oncology studies
    • Checking that anti-human antibodies don't stain mouse tissue
    • Baseline histology of the host strain
  • Immunocompetent · inbred

    C57BL/6

The most widely used inbred strain and the background for most knockout and transgenic lines. Host for syngeneic tumours such as MC38, B16, and LLC.

    Used for

    • Wild-type controls for knockout and transgenic studies
    • Normal tissue for syngeneic oncology and immunology studies
    • IHC and multiplex IF assay development on mouse tissue
  • Immunocompetent · inbred

    BALB/c

Widely used inbred strain in immunology and antibody work. Host for syngeneic tumours such as CT26, 4T1, and EMT6.

    Used for

    • Normal tissue for syngeneic tumour studies
    • Immunology and vaccine study controls
    • IHC and multiplex IF assay development on mouse tissue

What you can order

  • FFPE blocks

Single-organ blocks or multi-organ blocks from one animal.

  • Custom FFPE slides

Unstained sections cut to your thickness and slide type, or stained with H&E, IHC, or multiplex IF.

Why it matters

Built for mouse studies

Strain-matched mouse tissue for the work that surrounds an in vivo study.

  • Antibody specificity

Show that anti-human antibodies used in humanized-mouse studies don't stain mouse tissue.

  • Baseline histology

Know what normal looks like in each strain before reading study tissue.

  • Assay development

Set up and validate IHC and multiplex IF panels before study samples arrive.

  • Study controls

Strain-matched normal tissue for syngeneic, xenograft, and humanized models.

Custom collection

Your animals, our FFPE blocks.

We collect tissue from animals you provide and turn it into FFPE blocks and slides, to your organ list and study design.

  1. 1

    Plan the collection

Agree the organ list, fixation, and block or slide format for your study.

  2. 2

    Arrange the animals

We confirm logistics for your animals or tissues and timing with you.

  3. 3

    Collection and fixation

Tissues are collected to your organ list and fixed in formalin.

  4. 4

    Blocks and slides back

We process and embed to FFPE, then return blocks, slides, or stained sections.
